After the huge success of our previous event, the Rustic Independent Wedding Fair is BACK once again on Sunday 10th June 2018 - connecting you with the very best unique wedding suppliers to help make your wedding day perfect.
Set in Chorlton Irish Club in quirky suburb Chorlton, South Manchester, this will be an Independent Wedding event that showcases the talent and creativity that local business can provide towards your wedding day.
The event promises to be filled with a whole host of creativity and will celebrate personal, unique, local and independent talents.
This FREE event will be full of independent traders, who will be able to provide the most personal and intimate experience. And when it comes to weddings, we think this is of the upmost importance.
There will be live music, performances, sample tasting, bar, discounts and competitions.

Who is it for?
Our aim is to provide an event which showcases the talent and creativity that local business can provide towards a wedding day. We are aiming to recreate our previous successful event which celebrates home made, unique, local and independent talent.
The wedding fair will be marketed as an event to celebrate independent traders, who will be able to provide the most personal and intimate experience. And when it comes to weddings, we think this is of the upmost importance.
Our requirements to become a trader for the wedding fair are:
You are a small/medium sized independent business
Your products/services are personal, customer led, high quality, bespoke or unique
You are based in the North-West and you are happy supply your goods/services to the Manchester area.
We are aiming to get as many different specialities showcasing their work as possible so in the event of too many applications from 1 particular type of service/goods, we may not be able to accommodate all for this particular fair.
Let’s make it unique!
We want to make the wedding fair as fun and interactive as possible and will encourage Traders to showcase their talent. For example, musicians can perform on stage, magicians and other entertainers can walk around entertaining customers, cakes and other food traders could offer free samples or even a pop up tea room, hair and makeup could be demonstrating skincare pamper products and other traders are encouraged to provide a stall that looks exciting and as dynamic as possible with lots to show including any exclusive wedding fair deals or competitions you may be running. There will be a bar in the adjacent room for family members that are still not enthralled with all the above.
How will it be advertised?
Our last event was a HUGE success, with high footfall throughout the whole day.
We aim to make this event even better. In the run up to the fair, we will be advertising heavily by the following means:
Printed advertising will be in local magazines and newspapers such as CommunityIndex Chorlton/Didsbury, and the South Manchester Reporter.
Online advertising will be featured around local websites such as ChorltonLife, as well as being promoted on national wedding fair sites. We will also be spreading the word via paid Facebook/Twitter/Instagram advertising, specifically targeting the right demographics for this type of event.
Banners will be displayed around Chorlton in the weeks before the event to promote the fair.
Printed flyers will be distributed in and around the local areas. Mainly Chorlton, Didsbury and surrounding neighbourhoods. We will utilise libraries, coffee shops, independent shops, post offices, park notice boards as well as distributing at any other local fairs or events in the weeks prior to the wedding fair. We will also have some leaflets available for all traders to give out to your customers.
A dedicated facebook page has been created which you can all add yourselves to and invite guests. In the weeks running up to the fair we aim to do a special feature on each of our traders giving you the chance to tell everyone what it is you do! We would also rely on all traders to spread the word via their own websites, Facebook and twitter pages and by the use of printed leaflets.
Free of charge for all customers
Price for Traders:
We have kept the cost of the event at a minimum for all traders to ensure that this is both a worthwhile and profitable event. £80 per stall for the day.
This cost will cover the venue hire, the online and printed advertising and you will be provided with a table approximately 4ft by 2ft for your stall as well as 2 chairs. There should also be space for additional equipment, stands etc next to your stall but please inform us if there is any particular requirements you have. The exact size and shape of your table cannot be guaranteed and so please advise us if you wish to provide your own table instead
About the Venue:
Chorlton Irish Club in Chorlton, South Manchester is an ideal venue for holding a wedding fair as it is located centrally, close to Beech Road which is full of independent shops and businesses. It is a well known venue in Chorlton and holds many functions and events throughout the year.
On the day there will be a staffed bar open in the adjacent room to the fair. There is a large carpark at the venue which is free of charge and can accommodate around 80 cars.
Any remaining money that is left over after advertising and venue hire costs have been deducted will be used to provide something to give potential clients upon arrival. We are aiming to provide the first 50 guests with a goody bag which all traders could contribute to. Whether it be business cards, leaflets, discounts or a sample of your goods etc. This will be advertised on flyers as an additional way to encourage people into the fair on the day and will be a great way for potential clients to walk away remembering who you are.
